CASE STUDY: Canadian Blood Services- You’re Someone’s Type!
This was a class assignment done this past February, the goal of the assignment was to create a campaign for the Canadian Blood Services but it had to be research based. Within my practice I focus on the strategic side of advertising and love to look at data as a way to plan my approach. I gained insight that Gen-Z and Millennials have the lowest donation rate, I also found out that the eligibility has changed for who can donate. I wanted to create a campaign that would appeal to my target audience while encouraging them to do the pre-screening test on CBS website. The video presentation above offers further insights on how I ended up with the final results.

CASE STUDY: Gryphons OUA Rugby Semi Finals
This is a mock-up of an Instagram post I created for the Gryphon’s Men's Rugby team to notify their Instagram followers of their upcoming OUA Semifinals game. They had a set of rules needing to follow the University of Guelph branding so I had to stick with their colour, logo and font restrictions while also making a more new and attractive look to their social media page. I wanted the Instagram post to make them look like a higher level professional team since they are the best in Ontario and they need to convey that to their audience off of the field as well.
*All is created by me, with exception of the photography

CASE STUDY: Government of Canada COVID-19 PSA
For this class assignment, we had to come up with a PSA for the Government of Canada surrounding COVID-19. We were challenged to do our own photography along with font and copy. For this project I really wanted to capture the true exhaustion within healthcare workers during this time. My model was my Mother who is a medical radiology technologist and was up close and caring for COVID-19 positive patients. Using a real healthcare worker in my work I really caught the emotions she was experiencing. I went with black and white for the photograph to really grasp the serious tone of the advertisement since that was the main focus, I wanted to use guilt as a way to persuade people to not ignore the ongoing pandemic.
*All done by me

A mailable brochure notifying neighborhood's of the food drive collection date.
*All elements including photography were done by me.

CASE STUDY: Entrepreneurship The Blooming Brew
For this assignment, we had to come up with our own company. I decided to create a small café/floral shop named The Blooming Brew. For this specific part of the project we had to focus on strategy and advertisements for our business. Since my business would have an in-store aspect as well as an events side to it, I created two different strategies to reach my target audiences. My audience for in-store were young professionals and couples ages 20-35, looking for a place to meet with friends to socialize. My audience for the events side would be people 24-40 who are planners and who love throwing events. For the young professionals, I went with the idea that my business would be used as a date spot to appeal to them, whereas for the event planners I went with the approach of easing the stress when it comes to the flower portion of the event. Both advertisements would be shown on The Blooming Brew’s Instagram page.
Process:
- Brainstorm how to target my audience
- Develop strategies
- Sketch rough drafts
- Brainstorm copy
- Create mock-ups to show to my class
